Hi,
I'm not sure if anyone still checks in here :-S if you do, then thank you for your enduring patience :D It's been soooo long since I blogged! I have no excuse bar simply being human, lazy and giving up to easily! I'm feeling convicted by God right now to pick up my journey towards regaining my femininity, becoming a better wife, mum and also more focused in my walk with the Lord.
I'm going to be back tomorrow with another list of challenges for myself(I know, another one!) I am determined to stick with this and not keep quitting- I really hope someone out there reads this and joins me on this journey as I share all the struggles and the triumphs too :D It's kinda lonely when others around you do not share the same desires :(
Until tomorrow,
Blessings
Emma

Hello and apologies.....
Hi to all who have clicked on here over the past week- 82 of you :) please don't be shy and let yourselves be known, I'm hoping through this blog to share the journey towards femininity.
So, my last post was my goals and one of my goals was to post 5/7 right....... well as you can see I failed, again!!! but I have not given up and have a reasonably acceptable excuse :) I work with young people and was recently tasked to do something special that hopefully would have a lifelong impact on a young person's life :) Praise God I managed to pull it off but as a consequence neglected other important stuff, such as this blog! I guess I've got to work on my work/life balance a little, well a lot actually :(
The great news I do wish to share and is an important part of my journey towards femininity is my weight loss. I am a very typical woman who has put work, family etc before my health and let myself get unhealthy and over weight- totally not keeping the temple very healthy at all :( so just after Christmas I started using the app/website my fitness pal (my username is:empy22 if you would like to friend me) and it has been a real blessing and I have managed to lose 11lb so far 8-D my aim is to get a more feminine shape and be able to wear beautiful dresses and skirts a look like a lady instead of a man in drag!!
I must dash as I've a load of house chores that need my urgent attention but I shall be back tomorrow with a daily challenge to enrich our marriages(following "The Love Dare") it would be great if you could join me.
Blessings

Have you made any goals/new years resolutions for 2013?
My goals are the following:
- Update my blog at least 5/7 days per week- failed within the first week, but I'm not giving up on this and will keep trying to do this :) please bare with me!
- Read more books on the subject of femininity, glamour, fashion, make-up and self-improvement! and continue to work on recapturing my own femininity!
- Lose weight (lots!) and get a healthy body and mind, this features in my goals every year, never attained :( this year I will prevail :)
- Attend Church every Sunday (unless on holiday/ill) due to issues about anxiety, self-esteem etc this has been a huge issue for me these past few months :'( but I returned on Sunday just gone and was so thankful for the sweet fellowship I have with my church family. I've been reading a fantastic Joyce Meyer book called 'Managing your emotions' which has helped me so much :)
- Meet new people and also attend groups in my local area/church to make friends :) I am very, very shy, particularly if I do not have any control in the situation and can appear to be aloof and unapproachable. A consequence of this is that I have very few RL friends and certainly none that I could turn too if support was needed (thank the Lord for husbands!)
- Finally, spending more time in the Word- this I have managed so far but would like to increase the time I spend and take part in some bible studies, online or in RL.
Wow, that is a long post- I cant write pages and pages :) anyhoo I've got to go and beautify myself and do the whole facemask, exfoliate etc thing, so for now I bid you good night and look forward to catching up with you tomorrow :)

HONORING YOUR SPOUSE (THE DO’S)
Happy new year :) I hope and pray you have had an awesome Christmas and enjoyed spending it with loved ones. I've made it one of my goals this year to blog more often, I will post my goals for this year in my next post- will be tomorrow now as I have ran right out of time :( but before I go I leave you this list of Do's for honoring our beloved husbands.(the list is long, I shall post the dont's tomorrow) Thank you to my friend Donna for sharing it in my FB group. x
HONORING YOUR SPOUSE (THE DO’S)
Honoring your spouse to others includes other aspects of communication.
Just as the terrible act of putting your spouse down to others damages
the relationship, so your positive actions and words to express honor of
your spouse will enhance your marriage.
Do not be ashamed for
others to know that your love your spouse and that your spouse is the
most important person to you in the entire world.
Be sure that you have a picture of your spouse as the first picture in your purse or billfold.
Make certain that you have a picture of your spouse on your dresser at home and on your desk or station at work. These pictures give you the blessing of a constant reminder of your spouse. They also give you a reminder to be thinking about and praying for your spouse throughout the day. They also are a tangible statement to your spouse that you are happy to show the world that you belong to your spouse and that you have no reservation or embarrassment about others seeing and knowing that you are in love. The display of pictures of your spouse also has an impact on others. When others see those photographs they will develop the proper understanding of you as a happily married person and they will not have incorrect or harmful expectations for or about you.
When someone request that you participate in something that conflicts
with your plans to do something with your spouse, take the opportunity
to honor your spouse and your marriage.Instead of simply declining, or answering generally that you have other plans, say something like, “That sounds great, but I already have that time reserved to go
on a walk with the most important person in my life, my precious wife/husband.”
When is the last time you planned specific words of honor, praise or
appreciation for you to express to your spouse the next time you are
alone? You like to receive compliments, so compliment your spouse. You
like to receive praise, so praise your spouse. You like to be thanked
and appreciated so show and express your appreciation to your spouse.
When you are with your spouse be sure that your words, actions,
expressions and your nonverbal communications all express honor and
respect for your spouse. Instead of taking your spouse for granted, your
spouse must remain as the most important person in the world to you.
Think of the most famous and acclaimed person you know of. Think of how
you would honor that person. Then make sure that your honor your spouse
even more so.
This principle of honoring your spouse to others is
not anything terribly profound. It will only happen, however, if you
CHOOSE to do it, and then you carry through. DO IT! Remember . . .
always, always, always honor and affirm your spouse when he or she is
mentioned or discussed with others as well as when you interact with
your spouse.

So for those of you are unfamiliar with what I'm going on about, please find below the amazing Proverbs 31. I personally believe that if society & woman adhered to these clear guidelines then many of the issues in society would not be so prevalent! Controversial statement, you betcha! That's what this blog is going to be :) controversial, this is my little part of the internet to spread the word about this amazing calling the Lord has given me and all women. Here is the wonderful scripture:
King James Version
10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. 11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. 12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. 13 She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. 14 She is like the merchants ' ships; she bringeth her food from afar. 15 She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens. 16 She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard. 17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms. 18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night. 19 She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff. 20 She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy. 21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet. 22 She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple. 23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land. 24 She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant. 25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. 26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. 27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. 28 Her children arise up , and call her blessed ; her husband also, and he praiseth her. 29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. 30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised . 31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

Hi :) day 2 of blogging and I've managed to find my blog and sign in! So back to work today after a weekend that was much to short :( On the plus side I managed to have a chat with the DH about life and what I would like in the future and how he sees the future. I really, really would like to extend our family and as selfish as this seems this tops my prayers at the moment (has for a long, long time) Watch this space- many things have to change first.
During our discussions this weekend, my DH asked me to spend less time connected to my laptop( a huge issue I have) and to keep myself motivated keep the home and look after his wonderful provision for me and our children. I came home from work today and did it, I cleaned the house from top to bottom and you know what it felt great, I feel so good to honor my DH in this way! I'm rather a reluctant homemaker at the moment but I hope and pray that in time I shall come to enjoy and embrace this part of my blessed role.
I am determined to become the woman that he deserves and the woman that the Lord has created me to be. I started on my journey well but had a huge wobble and after quitting my job to become a full-time stay at home Mum/wife, I fell into a huge downward spiral and lost sight of my goal and even the Lord for a while :( Tomorrow I shall tell you dear reader what went wrong, why and where I am now.
